West Jakarta Mayor: Library Facilities must Be Improved

West Jakarta Mayor, Anas Efendi wants the facilities and infrastructures of library and archive could be improved. This improvement aims to attract residents in reading and creating a better Human Resources (SDM).

"Library and archive is very important, that's why the facilities and infrastructures must be improved," told Efendi after he gave a direction regarding archive technical guidance (bimtek) in West Jakarta Library and Archive office, Tuesday (8/11).

Reading Must Become Culture of Children in Jakarta

He hoped, the residents would be more interested to come and read in the library, especially the student and college student to explore a wide range of knowledge.

"I also ask all teachers and administrative staffs to deeply study about archive and library," told Efendi.

As known, the bimtek activity was joined by 100 participants from elementary school teacher and administrative staff. 

West Jakarta Library and Archive Office Head, Meti Lastri explained the activity was intended to raise awareness about the archival arrangement and storage of school.
